At Stranton there are a team of people trained in pastoral care willing to give help and support where it is needed. If you require this support, or know someone who would value it, please get in touch.
At Stranton and Burbank, we have a trained team of people who visit those locally who are ill, housebound, lonely or bereaved. We can also arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to those who cannot get to church because of illness or disability.

Many people living in residential homes would like to get to church but cannot because of their health. So in some of the residential and nursing homes in the parish, groups from the congregation lead occasional short services of worship. In some cases, these are led jointly with friends from other town centre churches, in a group called ‘Praise Plus’. A group from Stranton also helps regularly at the Sunday afternoon services at Hartlepool Hospital.

Home visits can be arranged for people who have been bereaved by a trained pastoral assistant.
