The Parochial Church Council

The PCC is responsible with the vicar for overall decision-making in the parish. It has 26 members. Most are elected, for a three-year term, with one third standing down or seeking re-election each year at the Annual Church Meeting in April. The PCC has various teams reporting to it on particular issues:

The Shared Ministry Team: works on strategic planning for the ministry of the parish, and encouraging the congregation to develop their gifts and work together.

The Mission Team: works on outreach and evangelism.

The Youth and Children’s Team: works with the Youth and Children’s Worker to develop our work with that age group.

Preaching and Leading Team: all those involved in leading services and preaching.

The Music and Worship Team: overall planning of the pattern of worship.

Finance Team: parish finances.

Fabric Team: the care of the church building and the community centre.
